Since we've been away twice in the last month, I thought I'd post a few piccies. First, my favourite place in the world; Snowdonia, North Wales... This is just up the road from where we camped, along the Aberglaslyn Pass.

This is the view from part-way up Snowdon on the Pyg track.

And now, Scotland! This is the view from the window of the place that we stayed:

This is the view from two-thirds of the way up, when the mist and clouds started to close in...

And finally, before you all go to sleep, this is me contemplating the top! (That didn't actually turn out to be the summit at all and in order belongs before the previous one. There were a good few more brows before it all got rocky and misty and we hit the summit.)

Come and see me, Ghost! I live very close to the scenes from 'Wuthering Heights' - beautiful bleak moorland with little owls and grouse. Hope you can come over here one day. let me know if you do...

Just thought...where in Ireland is the castle? That sounds amazing, Ghost. I'd love to visit Ireland too, but haven't managed it yet.

I'd love to visit Ireland too, but haven't managed it yet. there's a kearney castle.. kearney's one side of my family.. hunt's the other.. plain old common hunts (isn't that about as common as smith in the us? haha) owls & grouse & bleak moors.. i love it already! my real name (brenda) is irish for small (female) raven.. taken from those ravens that lived at the tower of london or some such story? someday..

Hi everyone, so many replies...I agree with Thumper: I love this site too!! Pete, thanks for the comments and it's good to have you back. hope all is bearable, although it sounds like (insert smilie of your choice here)! As soon as I find a sensible piccie of me, I'll post it! ...Or perhaps I'll stay mysterious! Please keep up the humour; you made me smile bad jokes are always the best! Thumper - thanks too. I can't take credit for the pics, I must admit, as Mr Sleepflower took them all. I love the way we all have pictures in our head of what people online look like. I have had blond hair in the past - I'm a bit of a hairdye fanatic - but I've had it black for the past year or so. Although I'm naturally a blond-haired person, I feel more like a dark-haired person, if you know what I mean? I'd love to go to Dublin. I'm a literature nut, so I could bore hubby stupid on my book trail there! By the way, thanks for asking in your other post - my course is fantastic and wonderful and I love it! Ghost, I may be going up to Top Withins and Haworth moor this weekend - if I do, I'll take some pics and post them - it's a wonderful place. I wish my name meant something as cool as yours - I love it! I was named because my mother had a long and complicated name that she couldn't spell when she was five, so I got a short and simple one! I'll be googling that castle!

Well...Thumper and Ghost, I owe you one, as I've just found out I can only modify one karma per hour (exaltation speed 1 kph??!)

Hooray! Thanks Pete! Love the banana too! Thumper...I have 'exalt' blindness and only remembered yesterday that it was there! Under each person's name and avatar, on the left-hand side of each of their posts, it says 'Exalt' and 'Smite'. Click on the first to up the person's karma, and the second (I guess, but I'm not sure) to lower it. That's not a dumb thing to ask at all...if you don't ask, you don't know! That's my theory anyway.
