ok so this may sound really hokey.. ;D but if you haven't noticed it seems our little group are all particularly hard on ourselves.. we are all really nice to each other! so we have it in us.. but we seem to have the hardest time taking care of our own happiness & well being.. it's easier to beat ourselves up.. in this thread i thought we could post things we do for our own well-being.. for your own health, peace of mind.. or just something kind you did for yourself today emotionally.. it's all good.. i'll start: first of all after much procrastinating and insomnia due to a lousy mattress i've been sleeping on for almost 2 years i have given in and spent the money to buy a nice new better mattress to save my aching back and neck! also i have started taking multivitamins with iron and am going to try to take one every day.. i held out so long before i would even take a vitamin.. (weird, i know) but i felt like anything i did that would make me healthy would just keep me in my miserable life longer! but i have been anemic for years and just let it go.. so i forge ahead against my own suicidal inclinations!! anyone feel free to add to this thread! ghost p.s. i promise to exalt acts of healthy selfishness!

Aaaw Ghost, that's a really nice thought...thanks for this thread! [exaltation] Hmmm...errr...I've started to work through an SI self-help workbook that I bought 12 years ago and haven't touched since. I know that I'm not ready to stop, but I think I'm ready to learn a bit more about me...I've written half a hardback notebook over the last three days, answering questions from the book and following up random thoughts. It's taught me a lot about me. My goal for the future is to talk to my husband about some of the issues without hiding, like I usually do. I've just got back from town where I've bought the most amazing tiny black skirt (I'm going to see a band tonight!) and green and gold glitter eyeliner! I'm like a magpie for sparkles. Now I'm going to take my friend's dog for a walks and then ignore the housework and have a long bath with my last bath bomb. You've made me think in the right way and now I think I deserve the above for the work I've done! Thanks, Ghost!
