***warning*** this is a link to my own personal poetry page.. it contains content that can be triggering so take care.. i am someone who believes creativity is the best way to channel negative feelings into safe non-destructive outlets like art/writing.. www.brensgumbyland.com/papercuts_frame.htmghost

thanks so much, thumper! each one of my poems was a result of such suicidal thinking that i kinda feel like they're toxic to read.. like put potholders on or something, you know, don't get any of it on 'ya! haha.. but i believe in turning it over into creativity rather than destruction.. so that redeems it.. i certainly don't want it to make si/suicide seem alluring.. so even i don't really know what to make of it.. but i really appreciate the compliment.. ghost

yah, i tried to keep the same beat as elliott's alt king's xing.. i love that one.. it's an homage to him in a way, too.. i guess any aca (adult child of alcoholic) can relate? ghost

Wow ghost, Ive just read your poems and they are very good, They are beautifully written and powerful, there are a lot of lines in there that made me quite emotional, you are certainly talented. I think that they would inspire other people to channel all that painful energy into something creative, I attempt to when i feel like SI but just end up with a jumbled mass of bitter words!.

thanks so much, raining.. i think i trained myself to turn the hectic si thoughts into art first.. i started out trying to use painting.. so i have this whole gallery now.. haha! (the link's in my profile) but then i went back to writing, and just started jotting down the 'bitter words' as you mentioned onto a notepad.. when i couldn't sleep more words would 'click' until i started working them together.. as a person dealing with si, i think the poems are like scars, they last longer actually, and i feel validated even if they are such negative ideas.. so i feel better having done them.. thanks again, ghost
